Ashya looked at Constans for a moment, as if considering his words. What he said was true - and there were plenty of Tranquil old enough to remember Jowan from back when he had been an apprentice still. The problem would be to find the right person to tell her - someone who would give her the answers she sought without passing on her questions to Terraster or Cullen.
But his suggestion was a sound one, at least with the information available to him. She smiled again, grateful that he was trying to help when she'd given him nothing to go on, and had more or less snapped at him in the beginning of their conversation. Besides, it was Constans...she would always be disproportionately happy with his advice. "I will ask," she said, nodding, cheered up.
The girl patted Constans' arm before slipping out the door he had opened for her. There was a new spring in her step, and a determined gleam in her eye. Even if the way to find her father was still full of pot holes, she felt like she'd taken a step forwards to finding out where he was - or what had happened to him.
