Who: Thais Keigwin, Aurin Demarc Where: Vigil's Keep, Amaranthine When: 9:45 - 14 Molioris [Before Dawn] Summary: Thais heads back to her room, only to find she’s missing something important (and no, it’s not her dignity). Rating: WoS for Walk Of Shame.
Her sleep had been light and troubled. She forced herself to stay in the bed for at least a couple hours. Her mind didn’t want to sleep though and she found herself drifting in and out of consciousness while staring at a flickering candle in the corner of the room. She never entered the Fade, only drifting on the edge of sleep before coming back to an awake state before beginning the cycle again.
Thais kept herself turned away from the man that she shared the bed with. She didn’t want to look at him. From her moments of awareness, she could tell that he was having trouble sleeping. While he was fast asleep, he mumbled and moved around a lot. Perhaps an alcohol-induced nightmare… or something else. She didn’t bother him though, letting him sleep despite how troubled it might be.
She was staring at the candle about to drift off again when Conlan suddenly awoke. The woman stayed silent, pretending to sleep. She kept her eyes closed as the mattress shifted and the man darted from the bed. The door to the room opened and closed. Thais waited a couple minutes before turning around. She gazed at the empty spot on the bed. The woman wondered where the man had ran off to, but didn’t dwell on it.
The moment was a perfect one to slip away. It’d be nice if she could avoid conversation with Conlan. She didn’t want to be here for any of that. Hoping Conlan wouldn’t return soon, she got up out of the bed. Trying to ignore the cold nipping at her skin, she began to collect her items. The woman was disappointed to see that her bra had been ripped beyond repair from Conlan‘s passionate fumbling. Sighing, she set it on the bed and slipped on her panties. Moving swiftly, she picked up the gown that was crumpled on the floor. Shaking the wrinkled fabric, she yawned before dressing. She glanced around for a mirror but there was none in the room. Perhaps Conlan didn’t see the need in requesting a mirror to check his appearance. She wasn’t that surprised.
Glancing down at herself, she sighed. The fabric looked more sheer than it did when she had put it on just a few hours ago. The fact that she was not wearing a bra was quite obvious. Luckily, it was still fairly dark in the Keep since dawn had not yet come. Smoothing out a few wrinkles, Thais put on her shoes before heading out of the room.
She entered the corridor and looked around to see if Conlan was anywhere near before swiftly heading in the direction to her room. Her heels clicked quickly against the floor, echoing through the fairly silent corridors. It wasn’t until she was close to the hallway to her own room that she realized that she had left her ripped bra on Conlan’s bed. She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to fix a tangle. The woman wasn’t going back to that room, she supposed Conlan just received a souvenir.
