"It was dark... one tends to make very difficult and foolhardy decisions in the depths of those woods. Sometimes to stay stationary in a camp, with a fire blazing, was more dangerous than just continuing on your way. At the same time, when night falls in those parts of Thedas, the dark can be woefully oppressive. We chose to keep moving...unfortunately it was the black that caused us to separate. I lost track of them while we were moving, sounds melded with one another, their causes indistinguishable. I wonder sometimes why I wasn't as frightened as I should be."
