Coan Bryland ; the ferelden noble (coan) wrote in thedas,
Coan's absent minded watching was probably amusing to anyone watching him. When his attention moved, his head followed, moving back and forth as he watched people bring wood, organize supplies, and find things to busy themselves with. He kept his free hand atop Noa's knobby head, drumming his fingers lightly, and giving her an appreciative scratch every now and then. When he caught her hurried steps from the corner of his eye, Coan's attention turned to Signy as she approached the fire. He offered the slightest of smiles and returned her nod in greeting. "Signy." He looked then to the bag she carried with her, tilting his head a bit as he watched curiously, Noa turning her head to do the same. "What do you have there?"
Just as he asked, the group was joined by another. The tall, blonde woman - he was sure he'd heard her name several times between Amaranthine and their traveling, but with his thoughts so jumbled, it wasn't coming to him. So he only turned to give another nod in greeting. When she asked about his writing and if he had materials to spare, he looked down to his lap, sighing with a hint of a chuckle. "Please. Use these," he collected them and reached to hand them over. "My mind is too scattered to organize a proper letter. You seem to have your intentions figured out - you'll use them far better than I can right now."
