Something was wrong. He could always tell when it came to her. Aurin’s eyes flickered towards the younger Templar, but Kendric gave him no clue what was wrong besides a puzzled frown before he scurried back into his room. It left him with a slight feeling of foreboding. He shook it away however as he turned towards the woman with a smile. He had to put aside that last meeting of theirs. He tried to put the relief he felt seeing her again in the back of his mind. Alderic had told him that she had survived, but it wasn’t until he saw her that he realized just what that meant to him.
“Of course you haven’t,” he shot back towards her with a lopsided grin that came to his face. “You’re all important now aren’t you?” He added before he rolled his eyes. “That’s my pass time. You’ll have to get in line for it…but…as a Warden privilege I’ll let you off the hook this once.” He watched her. She still refused to look towards him. At the sudden question though he looked surprised for just a moment. He had forgotten about the package dangling from his hand behind his back. For just a moment he looked for a moment like he did when younger and had gotten caught thieving cookies. “Well its supposed to be a surprise.” He finally replied wryly. Alderic was also supposed to be the one that delivered it, he wasn’t sure if she wanted to see him again after their last meeting.
He stood for a moment before he turned towards the door to his own room. “Well since Kendric is gone you might as well harass me for sport and amusement. I’m more used to it than he is anyway.” He tosses over his shoulder as he sets a hand on his door and pushes it open. The offer is there if she wants to join him as he lets the object that was behind his back dangling loosely from one hand. It is a rectangular object wrapped in plain white cloth. Not too big, hardly bigger than a book.
He wasn’t sure if she would take his offer to talk. He wasn’t sure if he should have made it either. He still wanted to talk, to congratulate her at the very least. He drew on what he could of his own composure to keep himself from touching the woman, even if all he wanted was to simply take her in his arms and not let her go.
