"It's damp, and I hate the way it patters on my head... but I liked how it looked, and how it smelled-" She smiled, agreeing with Signy's acceptance of thunder, wholeheartedly. "It was odd, you know, when it crackled- you could kind of feel it in your chest. Your heart just stops for it... it was kind of amazing."
"We were." Falina nodded, not willing to disclose too much of Rhocanth's personal matters. She knew that the pair were acquainted, comfortable with each other in a way that suggested some sort of previous association. The two blondes gravitated toward each other on that first night, and had even walked arm in arm during their foray into Redcliffe. It was curious, and Falina felt no pang of jealousy, no riling of teenage insecurity. "I thought my insides were going to crawl out of my body." She shrugged, thinking of the best way to describe it.
"It was the only one I've ever had. Are they all like that? It was- awful. I felt like I could reach out and touch the dragon... and like- like he knew I was looking at him." Falina bit her lips nervously, kicking herself for asking Signy a question, depending on the girl who, back home, was superior in everyway. "Also- I think we are agreeing on too many things. If the archdemon wasn't enough to alert everyone about the end of the world, us... getting on politely might do the trick."
