"I see..." he said automatically, more saying something so that she understood that he wasn't outright ignoring her because he had remained silent afterward, letting the thoughts form in his head as he pondered what direction to take the conversation.
Although he had several things he wanted to inquire about her, he wasn't sure how to approach the situation, almost feeling as if he were intruding on her privacy as the way she had done him, but he was more aggressive and more...demanding. While he would have tried being as polite and kind as possible, Faer would not deny that there were times when someone would get offended by his constant questions, always asking this and that. There had even been a few times when it's caused him a couple of fights -- though the term could be loosely used, it was more like yelling and Faer backing down due to his dislike of confrontation -- among his clanmates where he took his curiosity a step too far.
He had been grateful that she seemed so understanding when he asked if they could drop the subject that had remained uncomfortable to him. After all, this had all happened over the coarse of a month where he was forced to leave his family because he had been too incompetent and/or too weak to restrain his magic. Because of his inability, he had not only sacrificed his own safety, but both Jaden Tahal's and his clan's; the only way for him to protect them had been to leave the clan, and although he tried to persuade Jaden to remain with the clan for his own safety, the childhood friend of Faer flat out refused and the Dalish mage, who had been terrified of going out in the world by himself, didn't have the heart to refuse. That was just his being selfish.
Despite all that, he was glad that Jaden was with him; Faer was well aware that without him, the former Keeper's First would have likely been laying on the road right now, blood spilling on the ground with glassy eyes and no pulse that said he was dead. If it hadn't been for Jaden, he wouldn't have been recruited to the Grey Wardens. There were so many things that he wouldn't have been able to experience without Jaden and -- Faer glanced quickly at the other Dalish elf -- he had to admit that he was quite happy to have such a friend in his life.
Smiling at her, a weak and faint smile, but a smile nonetheless, he nodded in response as a way of thanking her for letting him go back to his comfort zone. He would have to admit that even though she spoke of something that he would not normally share with people upon first meeting them, he liked that atmosphere she provided for him, relaxing and easy-going. Creator knows, he's always been uptight and vigilant, perhaps a bit too much, even.
A wave of fatigue washed over him and he yawned before he could settle on an answer as his eyes watered from the weariness. He hadn't slept well last night and was quite tired from the adventures that had happened earlier.
Turning to the woman, he spoke, this time without a pause, "I will gladly take you up on that offer one day, but right now, my mind is exhausted that I do not think anything you would say to me would sink in. I would rather know as much as possible, so perhaps we could save this for tomorrow -- or whenever we both have the time for it again." He smiled, slouching a bit as he began to position himself next to Jaden while walking away from her, "But thank you, Imenry Barras. You showed a kindness to me that most people do not and I appreciate that." And with that, he turned his heel, glancing back only a second to see if she was still looking at him.
