It was obvious that her questions had caused the young elf to pause and think. Perhaps they were difficult memories, after all he had only just recently left behind his clan and all that he knew. She knew what that was like, though at least he could say that he had people left behind who were safe and alive. Though it was doubtless he'd rather be with them.
The expressions crossing his face ranged from curiosity to thoughtfulness, as his thoughts followed their lines of conversation. Imenry had no doubt that he wanted to ask questions of his own, which she would be fine with to a point. There was a very careful line she toed when it came to her life and what she shared of it. Enough to sate curiosity, but not enough to raise suspicions.
Imenry looked thoughtful at his response. To know he had lost his mother at such an age; no longer a child, but not quite a man. It must have been difficult for both he and his father. But it sounded like his clan had guided them through it. She didn't know much about the Dalish, but in this way they were somewhat different from her own village. It had been small, but still much larger than the tight-knit community that Faer spoke with. Imenry had known everyone there, but had not considered all of them to be her family; only her parents and her grandparents before they had passed.
She lifted her gaze to Faer when he mentioned that he had difficulties speaking of the subject, and she guessed that it was still to raw a wound to be bringing up. "No it's fine. I apologize for bringing up a difficult topic."
She fell silent for a moment, concentrating on the movement of her feet along the road, her eyes wandering their surroundings, sighting where the sun hung in the sky and gauging the time. She glanced around at their group, her eyes assuring her that Signy was still safely tucked in the back of one of the wagons (she spied the top of her blonde head peering about curiously) before she looked back towards Faer.
"Well... I do have more questions, but I feel as if I am interrogating you." She chuckled softly. "Perhaps you have something to ask me? It's only fair that this be an equal exchange of information. I doubt you've spent much time outside the forest, or away from your clan. I've spent a lot of time traveling. Maybe I can help you a little bit... teach you something about the human world?"
