"So she claimed, though I hardly bought it for a moment. I know how Vi is," she said with a laugh. "She has a way of making herself sound way more innocent than she is. The fact that we get along so well is pretty much proof to the contrary in my mind." She stepped from the room before Dee, all at once ensconced in the shadows and lantern light that flickered through the hallway. Her bare feet made only a whisper of sound over the stones and she turned her head to look down at Dee as the other woman spoke.
"It sounds like you and the Captain had quite the adventure," she said, grinning. It sounded like fun in fact, though not every woman would agree on that. Imenry had perhaps had her own shares of adventures, though she had certainly never been thrown in prison. She avoided the law at all costs, simply because she knew what it would mean if anything were really found out about her and where she had come from. "I've been on her ship a couple of time actually. We always ended up getting really drunk on grog. And her chef hit on me." She laughed, remembering the incident. "He certainly knew what he was doing in the kitchen though."
She considered the archaeologist's words about making sure that Imenry remembered her, and smiled. "I do hope we get more chances to speak. You're an interesting woman, Dee. And you seem fairly open-minded. It's... easy to talk to you, is what I suppose I am trying to say."
She nodded at Dee's indication of where her rooms were. "Mine is too, at the end of the hallway." She followed her towards the steps, glancing down to make sure she didn't miss the first one in the low light that was offered from the torches overhead.
"I actually... always wanted to fight. Or at least be a warrior. My father was one and I guess I idolized him in the way only a child can. He taught me, but I began formal training when I was 12." She smiled wryly. "You certainly don't miss much. I guess the body of a fighter tells more than enough tales, from scars to muscle tone, even to the way they walk. I can spot it in others as well, and the experienced from the inexperienced."
