She had won past the smile and laughter of Aurin’s usual face. That was no small feat for anyone to perform. She was always this complicated, this annoying, and this good of a friend. He was right though, and it was one of the main things he had faith in this world. It was right up there in the faith he had in the vileness of Darkspawn, the attractive of redheaded pirates and dark haired mercenaries, and the infuriating nature of one specific elven woman.
He didn’t know what was all of this would mean for the three of them. He simply took comfort in the fact that all three of them were once again together. It felt right with the three of them together again and he couldn’t help but smile. He believed that it would be for the best, he had to think that.
He blinked for a moment though as he turned to stare with some surprise at the Sister. “…well technically…I did volunteer instead of him. Ser Cullen chose Alderic to go instead though.” he blinked a moment though as he frowned down towards her. “…what. You aren’t mad at me are you? Come on! You knew one of us would have to go, one of us would try to. I thought I’d be better…I mean really. I’m not much of a Templar as it is.”, he smiled at his own words knowing the truth in them. “Besides. Beth. She…volunteered.”, he added quietly towards her with a flash of worry that was quickly hidden behind a slight smile.
He shifted slightly as she moved, his arms going gently around the woman as well. He leaned down to kiss the top of her head. “I know you wouldn’t want this for anyone. I know, but you know us Dee. You know how we are.”, he smirked lightly even as he brought one hand up to gently stroke her hair. “We are both idiots aren’t we? More often than I’d like to admit.”
