Not many people got to hear that tone of quiet understanding in his voice. When he let go of that smiling and gregarious tone of voice and fell to something that might be a little closer to his real self. The darkness and the light of the room didn’t bother him in the least. He relished the darkness in part since it did to hide some of the expression on his own face. He glanced towards the window for a moment though in some surprise. The skalds song brought a slight smile to his face before he shook his head once more and turned his attention to the woman that shared the room with him.
He knew she would speak when she was good and ready to speak, and not a moment before then. He was patient, willing to wait. He could be quite patient when the mood took him, and this was a time for patience. At least it was from him.
“I told him that you would be angry with him if you didn’t know before hand. He didn’t want you to worry the whole way here. You…know how he can be sometimes. Stubborn.”, he smirked slightly at that. “Just like you really…and you’ll always be here when it really matters, Dee. You know you will. I mean look at now. Something always brings us together when we need to be. Right?”, the man seemed to have little in the way of faith at times. However there were some things that his faith in was unshakeable. This happened to be one of them.
His own hand raised and he laid his hand gently on top of the Sister’s. “No you aren’t.”, he agreed. “But I knew you would be around here somewhere. That’s why I decided to come find you instead of listening to the pretty Skald sing. I know you wished he told you but…you’ll see. He’ll come walking out of that room.”, he paused. “Then you can punch him in the teeth for hiding it from you.”
