"I'm curious about this... stone. How is it that you believe it sustains you? Is it simply because this is where you build your home? Or do you believe you come from it?" She did not sound critical, only curious. She wanted to understand more about the beliefs of others. The only thing she'd heard anything of since coming to the lowlands was what the Chantry preached. There was really no avoiding it, and it could be overwhelming at times.
"I'm sorry. Your father would have been good to pay more attention to you. People too often take the time they have for granted. Though I was my parents only child... so I was the only one he had to pay attention to, aside from my mother. And what of your mother? You are close to her?"
"I don't think anything is wrong with her age. But when people look at her, they think of her as a child. It spurns protectiveness." She chuckles softly. "Even in me, I admit. But not from you." She shrugged slightly, apparently unbothered by his intense study. "I don't really think they are right. But things were different where I came from too. It's hard to find people who aren't uptight in Ferelden. At least about the matter of sex." She smirked. "Well unless you go into a whorehouse."
