Thais nodded as she listened to Ordhan. She glanced at the sword before looking back at him. The woman wanted to use a real sword; she didn’t want to train with a wooden one. It seemed much more exciting to be able to wield the dangerous weapon. Then again, she didn’t want to accidently chop off a limb or anything. She shifted her stance, noticing that Ordhan had glanced down her. A small smile played upon her lips, she wasn’t sure what he was looking at but the man was obviously thinking about something while he looked at Thais’ robes. She wondered what it could be.
She moved to hand the sword back to Ordhan, the movement making the blade swing in a larger arch than she intended. “Oh…” She gasped, stumbling forward and forcing the sword to stop its movement by tapping the tip against the floor. Her body kept going from the motion and she lightly bumped into Ordhan. A strong blush appeared on her cheeks, “I’m sorry.” The woman stepped back quickly, “Yes, perhaps it would be best for me to use a training sword.”
She awaited Ordhan to take back his sword. Thais figured she would remove her staff when she knew it would be necessary. For the moment, it was fine strapped to the back of her robes. As she waited for Ordhan to tell her what to do next, Thais attempted to make light conversation, “You said Constans was trained to use a greatsword? Did you spar with him then?”
