The subtle stiffening of the shoulders, the slight furrow of the brows, Thais took note of these small indicators of Ordhan’s thoughts as she brought her attention back to him. She wasn’t concerned by them. There were many reasons why such a response might occur from her glance over. She didn’t bother dwelling on which one it could be. If Ordhan’s mind was to change, however, she hoped it was clear that he could come to her if he so pleased. The woman watched as Ordhan began to show her the correct posture. She listened, forcing the small smile away from her lips so she could show a polite concentration towards Ordhan’s instruction. The woman watched his hands intently, trying to memorize the way the fingers were placed upon the hilt. She mimicked it with her own hands.
It wasn’t hard for her to keep track of Ordhan’s instruction. She was accustomed to detailed instruction in a short amount of time. The instructions of how to swing a blade, despite being unfamiliar, was fairly simple when compared to something like casting a mana alteration spell.
Thais watched Ordhan continue to demonstrate as he swung at the practice dummy. Her eyes widened for a second before looking down at the sword in her hands. She paused a moment before speaking up, “Yes, I will try.” The woman was aware of Imenry watching, but she did not look over to the other woman. Thais instead focused on concentrating, remembering the words Ordhan had just spoke, as she prepared to swing at the target.
Her movements were hesitant and a fair bit weaker compared to Ordhan’s, but she focused on keeping her form perfect. It was clear a fair amount of her effort was making sure her body was proper instead of the actual power that went into the sword. In effect, it was almost a slow motion, gentle version of Ordhan’s swing. The sword lightly thudded against the dummy. She blinked before stepping back and speaking up, “I will try again if that form was correct?” The woman looked over at Ordhan, awaiting instruction.
