She kept her hands firmly gripping the handle. Glancing at where her fingers were placed, she felt fairly certain that she was imitating the grip that Ordhan had shown her earlier. She looked up at him, meeting his gaze and offering a smile, “It’s lighter than yours... I believe I can handle this one.” The woman’s gaze flickered over Ordhan. She surveyed the features of his face and his polite expression before gazing over the man’s arms. If he was able to carry his sword with one hand, along with a shield, he must have very firm muscles. She pondered this as Imenry spoke up. Thais brought her roving gaze away from Ordhan to respond to Imenry’s words with a simple nod.
“A training dummy?” Thais glanced over to where Imenry was motioning, “I see. So....” She paused, rolling her shoulders back and lifting the sword up a bit more. Her muscles strained, but not more than when she had to hold her staff up.
“Do I just... hit that dummy” The woman nodded towards one of the straw men, “with the sword?” It seemed the idea was so simple, that couldn’t be it at all. Thais was use to long instructions on the most simple movement, it seemed odd to her that she wasn’t receiving more criticism already. Perhaps the two warriors were being nice to her simply because she was a mage of the Circle. It was possible. She brought her gaze back to Ordhan, smiling brightly, “Perhaps... you could show me the proper form for a basic movement?”
