Jaden gave a small nod. He didn't understand the art of a blacksmith very well. He had a very basic understanding, and had watched a blacksmith at work very briefly during a visit into a human village. The work was so foreign to him, as fascinating as it had been. Mixing metals, molding them, hammering away at them until they took the shape you wanted. His hand idly tapped the hilt of the sword by his side, the sword his father had given him. It was dwarven made. Perhaps it was their unchallenged knowledge in the art that made the dwarven weapons so superior?
"Red armor? I would imagine that looks very dashing indeed. But it sounds like something far beyond my means. I feel for now I'll be content with my leather armor. I've never been one for being weighed down anyway." He shaved off a bit more of the wood on what was to be the dog's back, looking back up again as she questioned again. "I don't make things like this a lot anymore. I used to, when I was younger, make soldiers and hunters. Act out epic battles around the fire in camp. And you can carve many things from wood. The bigger things require a little more effort, and not so much carving as building. We make bows, arrows, and our homes. Most of the things we use are made from the trees, actually."
