Falina sighed agitatedly, teeth clenching for just a moment. "Great..." She looked around, eyes looking for some stone directional markers, perhaps they'd thought to put them throughout the Keep. She couldn't read, so she hadn't looked for them before, but maybe there was one close that this man could read for her. It'd be embarrassing, but at least she wouldn't be late.
It was getting closer and closer to the Joining, and things were starting to grow tense. Cormac had been irritated when he found out he couldn't accompany her to the ritual, or the hours before it. Irritated wasn't necessarily the right word, but he was far from pleased. "Are there signs that could point the way? Could you maybe read them for me?" She felt helpless, blush burning her cheeks. She hated admitting that she couldn't read, and Falina hated asking for someone to do it for her.
She needed to learn, being dependent on Surfacers bothered her, and they always seemed to pity her from first glance as it was.
