Thais was only stunned for a short time until the feeling suddenly went away. The cleanse that Aurin had placed on the area snapped her out of the magically-induced stupor. She quickly brought her gaze up, looking around and trying to figure out what was going on. Her robes were a bit damp where she had been frozen. She placed a hand to the side of her head, feeling the sore area where her hair had been pulled. The volume was lighter as many strands had been pulled out by Bethen’s attack. Normally, she would start being rather annoyed by what had happened to her hair, but she still felt a tad hazy. She glanced around again, trying to figure out what was going on.
Her gaze landed on the kneeling Bethen. She noticed the girl’s lack of clothing and looked down at the fabric she still held in her own hand. Dropping the fabric quickly, Thais stayed seated on the ground. She felt light-headed. She knew she shouldn’t stand yet, but her pride was demanding it, especially with the presence of Aurin now there.
Using her staff for support, Thais pulled herself to her feet. She stared with a dazed expression upon her face at the surrounding people. Her thoughts were jumbled. What had just happened? The woman brought her gaze over to Constans at the meek statement. She sighed, closing her eyes and trying to compose herself the best she could.
