"All the time," Kendric replied to Imenry's comment, shaking his head. "She put the hedge outside on fire before she'd been here longer than fifteen minutes."
Ashya shot him a look, but it was the truth so she let the comment slide. She walked on thoughtfully, digesting what Imenry had said about Alistair. It was hard to reconcile the image of the leader of the Wardens with a babbling idiot. The thought made her smile.
"This is where anyone wishing to speak to the Wardens is made to wait, I think," Ashya said, pointing at the first door they came to, but without stopping. An empty room was of little interest. She looked again at Signy. Now that they were out of the overwhelming confusion that was outside, she'd have expected her to speak up.
"Hi," the brunette tried to be friendly to the wide eyed girl. Maybe she was scared of mages? She gathered that was common - although not in someone who was going to become a Warden, she thought.
