He stared at the document in front of him. The parchment was crisp. It was blank except for a dot of ink that was slowly spreading through the grainy texture. He held the quill with a firm grip. The man closed his eyes, tensing his jaw as he attempted to think of what to write. It only took a minute before he set the quill back into its well. The large plum of the feather created a soft breeze causing the flame of a nearby candle to flicker.
Orestes turned on his chair. A pale pink sunlight was fading away into darkness from the tall window. He surveyed the tidy room before standing up. It was almost time. The man adjusted the folds of his robes. He had decided upon a rich gray color made of silky material. The fabric mimicked Orlesian fashion but the color was dark and neutral, more fitting for Ferelden. Unrolling his sleeves, he walked to the dresser. He admired himself in the mirror for a short moment. Age had taken hold of him, but he still had hints of his youth. His body was still cared for and it showed. He considered his gray hair simply made him look more dignified. Orestes pulled his shoulders back to make himself look more broad before beginning to take out the tools.
It didn’t take long to display the tools on the surface of the dresser. Orestes was use to the act and knew where everything went. He glanced at the door. It had been seven months since he began his routine with young Thais Keigwin. She was an interesting girl. Orestes was surprised she had lasted this long, especially without anyone finding out. Usually by the fifth month, women had to share this part of their life with a best friend or something of that nature. By the sixth month they were gone because of the reaction their close friends gave them. Thais was different. She seemed clever when it came to hiding secrets. Orestes had begun to understand why Thais was so successful in seducing so many politically-involved Enchanters. He had thought perhaps she was just an average loose female mage, but from his interactions with her he realized that she was unusually tempting. Perhaps it was the way she seemed willing yet prideful at the same time. A princess instead of a common girl. A female to invest a future in.
No matter the reason, Orestes didn’t have to worry about the enchanter anymore. She was no longer a threat in seducing weaker Senior Enchanters and extracting information from them. It had been so long, Orestes had no doubt that Thais had become incredibly dependent upon him. She would never do anything to cross him now.
His musings were halted when a knock sounded on the door. He gave a quick glance back to the mirror, fixing his robes before speaking up in a confident tone, “Enter.”
The door opened and Orestes forced away the small smile that played upon the corner of his lips. He watched as Thais stepped into the room, closed the door, and began to undress. His gaze roved over her body as it slowly was revealed. Her skin was particularly smooth today. She must have been using those Orlesian oils he gave her as a birthday gift. He made it clear the oils weren’t a sign of affection but instead that her skin was dreadfully dry from the tower’s atmosphere. Yet, he had a hunch she didn‘t believe his reason. Regardless, if she did have her doubts, she didn’t make it known and he was glad. He didn’t want to have to punish her over such a careless slip of the tongue. His gaze glanced over the light pink scars that were upon her ass. He frowned. Why weren’t they going away? The man had given her herbal remedies to repair the skin to prevent such scarring. Was she doing them wrong? He quickly got rid of his frown when he noticed that she was done undressing and now staring at him expectantly.
His thoughts rushed. What would he do today? They had done so much in the past couple of months, he found himself actually running out of ideas. To buy some time, he stepped forward and caressed her chest. Again, he had to work to keep the neutral expression as the young woman blushed. Her breast was incredibly soft. There was a strong smell of peppermint. She must have just put oil over her body before coming to his chambers.
He turned away, walking over to the bed. Sitting on the end, he crossed his legs and kept his posture formal. The man waved a hand towards the dresser. Thais knew the gesture by heart by now, quickly obeying and walking over. He admired her body. She was looking quite nice. He wondered absently if she had lost weight in the last few months. There were contours of bones that he hadn’t seen seven months ago. Nothing too worrying, but just different.
“Corset.” He spoke up. Thais quickly grabbed on to a latex corset. It was a new one that he had imported. He had ordered it just for Thais. It was a bright turquoise with a pale pink decorative design. It was trimmed with silver to match the dangerous hooks that hung off the indentions of metal boning. The front had a gorgeous Tevinter-inspired circle. It only took a couple of minutes before it was on. She was getting fast at putting the corsets on. It had taken a while to train her correctly on how to do so and Orestes was glad that she finally got the hang of it.
He motioned for her to come over. Again, she understood the motion immediately. She walked over with careful posture and knelt on the floor beside him. Orestes felt something in his chest stir as she looked up at him. The color of the corset made her blue eyes even more striking. He ran a hand over her hair, slowly petting the golden locks. He could see an innocence glimmering in her eyes. It wasn’t a fake naivety like many women tried to put on with Orestes. It wasn’t an entirely truthful innocence either. He knew the woman to be quite the opposite of innocent when it came to the understanding of forbidden aspects of lustful pleasures. No, the innocence he saw upon her young features was one that reflected the idealism he knew she still held. Idealism that reminded him of Athanael. His jaw tensed. He didn’t understand why Thais was still holding on to ridiculous Libertarian ideals, she seemed so mature at times and much more clever for such a political standing. Surely, she would realize the foolishness of the libertarians eventually. He noticed a soft concerned frown appear on her face. He forced himself to detach himself from thoughts of politics. Orestes had decided a while ago that his relation with Thais was one to be completely removed from reality, this included politics. It was not his place to tell Thais the errors of her way and doing so may just cause the loss of his current power over her. He let himself relax a bit, so that the tension from his thoughts weren't obvious anymore.
Orestes continued to pet Thais, staring at her in thought. She seemed expectant, obviously wanting something to happen. A negative aspect of having the young woman under his control was her excessive neediness that had appeared. She was constantly unfulfilled always wanting more. Of course, she would never say it to him, but Orestes could tell that she left unsatisfied but would return the next week with refreshed expectations of being satisfied. He had kept their activities strictly professional in the sense that there was always a cold, clinical atmosphere to their bonding. Orestes refused for raw passion to overtake either of them. He would not let himself fall into the trap so many other enchanters had. It was a test and he caught himself getting riled up and attached to the young woman more than once. Despite that he had become use to the young woman’s presence, he prided himself that he had complete control of the relationship. He feared if he let any sort of animalistic passion overtake him he would lose that upper hand. Luckily, Thais wasn’t trying anymore. For a couple months, once she had begun to become comfortable, she had tried multiple times to seduce him into letting go of their charade and just lay with her in a traditional way. It took many punishments until she realized it would never happen.
He closed his eyes, running his fingers through Thais’s hair. Though he had his eyes closed, Orestes could still feel the expectant gaze upon him. He opened his eyes again and looked at Thais, “I have work to complete, so you will do balancing today.”
“Yes, Master.” He allowed a smirk to appear finally on his features. The change from the Senior Enchanter title to Master sounded much nicer than he imagined it would. At first, the whole ‘master’ title made him laugh and he could tell when he told Thais about it that she had her doubts as well. Yet, now that it had become ingrained into her language, Orestes realized the lure of such a title. It made him feel as if he was the only one that could have such power over the young woman.
Orestes stayed on the bed as Thais rose. As she turned to go, he swiftly smacked her ass. She didn’t respond, barely even flinching. The skin where he had slapped turned into a light pink that matched the design upon the corset. The young woman continued on her way to the dresser. She picked up a pair of shoes.
As she began to tie the Orlesian shoes on, Orestes stood up. Orlais really did have the best materials for play. Such play was not rare in Orlais and there was a fairly strong market for items regarding it. It had only taken him a couple letters to Orlesian importers to have a steady merchant to bring him items. The shoes were made for this particular purpose. They caused Thais’s feet to arch in a curve. She was lifted off the ground by inches and was almost at eye-level with Orestes. The shoe itself was a work of art, Orestes admired the metal foundation and the deadly spikes that served as thin heels. It surely was cold against Thais’s feet but it would warm soon enough.
He walked over and grabbed leather braces off the dresser. These bracers stood out next to the Orlesian fashion making the distinction between Orlesian goods and Antivan goods quite clear. He belted the braces on Thais’s wrists and then two more on her ankles. Orestes chuckled as he heard Thais take a readying breath. They had only begun this practice a month ago and it was still trying on her. She was getting better and Orestes figured she would not faint tonight. He pulled her right arm back.
“Lift.” He commanded. She bent her left leg, lifting her ankle to hover right behind her ass. Orestes grabbed hold of the ankle. Using a hook on the back of the corset, he connected the two braces. Thais continued to breath steadily, not saying anything. He could tell she was fairly nervous though by the light sweat that had appeared on her skin. Orestes ran his fingers along a scar on her ass before walking away, “Tell me when you need to switch.”
He went over to his desk, sitting down. Picking up the quill, he stared at the inkblot from before...
