This time, Falina was more than successful, and the joy that lit the girl's eyes was infectious, causing a grin to spread wide over Imenry's face until the dwarf launched at her and hugged tightly. It was an almost, foreign feeling. She'd been hugged of course, mostly by her parents, close friends, in the past. And she remembered what it was like to be 15 and ecstatic over something. She put her arms around Falina and squeezed back gently, smiling.
"You did a great job. Just keep practicing at it, and soon you'll be a pro." She tilted her head to look down at the girl, smoothing a hand over her hair. "I think that's enough fighting for now though. You've already mastered two of the best defensive moves you can use. We can work a little bit every day if you like."
She put a hand at the girl's back. "As for now... how about we grab some lunch and come eat it outside? That tavern is crowded. Perhaps we can swap stories. I hear there are some interesting tales to be had from Orzammar."
