"It seems many places are like that. As long as there's such great differences between classes..." She shook her head. "Do you miss it? Even if it was a hard place to live.. it was all you knew for a long time."
"The sky is nice out here," she agreed. "And it changes. When a storm sweeps in, or during the seasons, day and night... But the stars always come out every night." She smiled slightly and tilted her head back to gaze up at the sky. There were a few white puffy clouds overhead, but the sun was out.
"I was... used to it. When you're born in a place like that, you never know any different. You have to be healthy to live in such a place and it tends to weed out the weaker bloodlines. Winters down here are still pretty hard. They don't bother me much, but I imagine the first one you go through will be rough."
