"Maybe he would." She said with a smile. "He certainly seems to be a wealth of information, especially stories." She had noticed his talkative and friendly nature, and they'd even pulled a few shifts on watch together. He was a nice young man, a bit sensitive, and certainly longing for home and family. In that way he was a strong contrast to Falina, who simply wanted to consider her new life on the surface as a new beginning, and claimed to miss nothing of her past. Signy seemed to fall a bit between the two of them. Surely she missed how things were, but it seemed there had been more leading up to what had driven her out of Orzammar. Something that made a life on the surface much more preferable.
She smiled down at Signy when the girl spoke again, pulling them both out of their lines of thought. "I'm glad you have people, even if most of us were strangers to you a week ago. I know what it's like to be out in a new world alone, and to be honest, I really wouldn't want that for you Signy, now that I've come to know you." She offered her a smile. There was a reason, she thought, that she felt so protective of the young woman. Because she knew exactly what it was like to be suddenly all alone in the world. Maybe the people Signy loved were still alive and well back in Orzammar, whereas that wasn't the case with her. But the way she'd said exiled made her think that according to her people she might as well be dead, and never allowed back.
