“And what’s that going to change? You know he and I will continue to throw ourselves in the way of incoming fire. You said it yourself, its just ingrained. I know you can handle your own trouble as well…you end up starting a good bit of that.”, Aurin’s easy banter with the Sister came almost naturally as he looked around the place. Templar’s were fanning out to see to the mages, others were beginning to trickle into the castle itself. It seemed that things were well and truly in order.
Which of course meant that he could enjoy himself.
An easy smile was directed towards Beth as he say the mage approach. “Not quite as eager as her, but I wouldn’t mind looking around at all. It’s been awhile since I’ve actually passed though a Summerday festival myself. Its something to see.”, he almost felt guilty for that. She would have enjoyed the festivals, all of them that he had seen in his travels. She would have enjoyed a lot of things he had seen in his travels. He had almost asked on more than one occasion, but he had always known what the answer would be before he even could. He hadn’t kept up with her, he had been gone for reasons all his own. All that seemed to do was get her caught up in a friendship with a blood mage. So much for his master plan.
He shook himself from his more somber thoughts and back to the present with a force of will. They were talking about the Qunari. A smile returned to his face before he shook his head. “If you do go and do what I think you’re going to do, Beth. At least take Alderic or I with you. I promise we won’t sound like walking armor stands. Well. Too much like walking armor stands.”, he allowed as he glanced down ruefully at himself.
He looked up then and between the pair of women before he smirked. “Well then, it seems we have come to a decision. Lead on good Sister, to mischief and adventure. Or at least to a good pie and some interesting games. We’ll see what they have set up and be back before the big dinner right? I’ll need a bath so I don’t smell like a rusty metalworks.”, he admitted with a wry chuckle.
