“They were a bit hard to miss,” Aurin replied with a smirk that quirked up one side of his mouth. “Finally, people taller than I am.”, he added in a jovial tone as he looked down towards the Sister with a shake of his head. “…what are you. Twelve?”, he added as she rocked back on her heels and he grinned easily towards the woman. “You are going to go find out later aren’t you?” He added at a moment. “Because it’s a mystery, and that’s what you do. Figure out mysteries.”
“Eh leave em there till we know where we all are going at least, it won’t hurt anything. You look enough like a pack mule most of the time when I see you anyway.”, he added with that note of teasing in his voice. “It is impressive though, I wouldn’t want to try to get in here if they didn’t want us in that’s for sure.”
“Well its odd being in such a huge group…and this …”, he rapped one gauntleted hand on his breastplate. “I’d sink like a stone if I fell in a river with this thing on. Vi would laugh her little red head off at me if she saw me like this.” He always seemed to complain about the full armor…but that might be because he had lost nearly ever set he had ever been assigned. It was a running joke by now with the Tower armorer. “Its been that long?” he added with a surprised look on his face. “…well yes I guess it has. I have to say though this has so far been a much more peaceful bit of travel when compared with that little adventure. Where you tried to get me killed. Again.”
He flashed the woman his own bright and cheerful grin at his words before glancing up and around at the slowly spreading gaggle. He heard his name barked over the heads of those around. “Yes, Ser Maddock!”, he returned in his best parade ground voice to the senior Templar. A glance towards the warden he was talking too and he smirked slightly before he shook his head and returned to scanning the slowly dispersing group.
Finding his quarry in the midst of everything he raised his hand to wave towards Beth when the mage looked in their direction. “Beth! Over here!” He called to get her attention, to try to get her over. Oh yes, he was doing a fine job keeping everyone in line wasn’t he?
