Hissra stood for some time before he heard the clanking of armor, the patter of hooves, the muttering of voices. The smell of beast and man. Slowly he turned his head and watched as a procession of humans passed. Some of them rid on horseback. He had seen humans in battle on these creatures occasionally.. It made them faster, and perhaps more imposing. Hissra still thought they looked small up close. Some of the men wore armor; but not like armor he'd seen before. Qunari warriors wore full metal suits and... this was different. Perhaps they were mage warriors.
Some of the others wore colored robes of similar design, and he recognized other mages. The Tevinter also wore robes, though more elaborate in design than these. Most human casters were too weak to wear armor and wield heavy weaponry, their strength lie in their spells. The humans were well trained in magic, despite the danger of it. Hissra had read horror stories of human mages calling upon demons and becoming abominations. His handlers had educated hum in the dangers of his own powers.
He spied many females among their numbers, though his mind rebelled against this. Females Qunari did not fight. Of course, from the visit the famed Sten had taken to Ferelden years back, they all knew this not to be the case with humans. Still, it was a bothersome idea and Hissra pushed that aside for a moment. He watched the procession move past him and the warrior, his keen eyes staring at them in silence. He did not see someone among them who looked to be a great Warden Commander, but he did not know what the man looked like, so he sent a questioning gaze to the warrior. Perhaps they would no longer have to wait?
Still, he did not move from his place of vigil before the great Keep's door. He would stand until told to do otherwise. He said nothing to the humans. Only watched.
