Eye twitching and fist clenched she stared at the metal colossus in disbelief. He was lost and had miraculously stumbled upon her at the exact time she was about to have her head crushed. That was entirely unlikely. Who was going to believe such a tall tale and…
“What are you doing? Let go!” Trying to wiggle free she squeaked when he lifted her into the air. Legs kicking she reached up her hand to grab at his gauntlets. “Stalking wasn’t enough for you; you have to turn into some sort of kidnapper now? Put me down right this… Arg!”
Jerking through the air as she stumbled she glared up at him and renewed her efforts to kick him where it hurt. “Just you wait you no good louse, when I get down you are going to get it.” Still struggling to kick him or at least reach the ground again she let loose a scream of frustration when neither happened.
A moment later she was tossed over the slimy rat’s shoulder. Landing with an oof she clawed at his armor trying to find a grip on the slick metal. “Who do you think you are? Damn oaf let me down right NOW!”
The thunk of an arrow colliding with his armor left her gaping. Raising her head up she squinter her eyes to see through the rain. Crawling through the woods, bow held aloft were those friends her abductor had been speaking about. Nervously swallowing she reached out again for something to grab.
Arms flailing about for anything her fingers slipped off of any potential hold. Cursing under her breath she threw one arm back and wrapped it around the meatshield’s neck. Holding on tightly she grabbed the top of his head with her other hand, fingers tangling in his hair, holding on for dear life.
“Run faster, do you want them to shoot me? Maybe if you weren’t covered in pots and a giant meat cleaver you could move faster!” Legs still kicking uselessly at the air she fell still when she spied one of the larger mercenaries step out behind a tree. In his hands was a large heavy-duty crossbow, aimed right at them.
Eyes raised to the heavens she prayed to Mythal. Jerking on her ride’s hair she urged him to run faster. “Unless you want to be shoot through you might really want to go faster. Any time is good.”
Sinking as close to the warrior’s body as she could she burrowed her head into his neck and held on as tight as she could. Please don’t die, please don’t die. I really don’t want to be crushed under your armor when you fall down, please don’t die.
