“Oh yes. Fine. I saw that, if being held up by a seven foot tall man was fine!” Aurin returned as he stared right back towards her. What was wrong with a simple thank you? A little appreciation for bleeding for her safety? Was that too much to ask?
“I don’t want anything, do I look like I want anything? I didn’t kill three men just to force you to pay me for it.” he looked mildly shocked at all that. “There were reinforcements in the woods before the rain got harder is all. So I said we should leave.” His words are sensible enough though he was beginning to get mildly annoyed at this one. One eyebrow twitched upwards spasmodically as he was suddenly pointed at. “You look like a merc or a bandit, and how should I know if you can get yourself out of here. No you don’t look like an idiot though, more of a drowned rat. I do as well.”
He grumbled under his breath as he started to stalk across the clearing towards her. He did his level best to keep his voice from raising, but it was fighting a loosing battle at the moment. She was being unreasonable. Entirely unreasonable. “What in the Maker’s name are you doing, you’re going to get us caught!”, he added as he glared back at the entirely unreasonable elf.
