Jaw dropping she stared at him in belief. Your welcome? Why this cocky little bastard. “Saved me? Don’t make me laugh; I was fine before you came along.”
Huffing she threw a hand across her face pushing her wet hair behind her ears. Trying to blink the rain from her lashes she bit her lip, hands fisted at her sides. “I didn’t need any sort of help. Who knows if you were even helping at me.” Waving her hand around she gestured to the bodies sinking into the mud. “You could have just had issues with them. Or for all I know you want something. Like I am going to believe you just randomly showed up here.”
Throwing her hands in the air she turned away and stomped across the clearing to where her earlier comrades lay. She still had a job to complete and to do it she needed those packages.
Halfway across the clearing she spun around and pointed at the weird man. “And what makes you think I need help from you now. What I don’t look like I can get myself out of here? Do I look like I am sort of idiot… don’t even answer that you… you.” Growling in frustration she spun around once more and stormed over to the bodies calling back to him. “I am perfectly capable without you.”
Crouching down she started rummaging through Calum’s pockets searching for the needed packages mumbling curses under her breath, occasionally shooting glares over her shoulder at the suspicious man lurking behind her.
