“Ha!” The archer pointed down. “Thak has her now! This is all over but our fun!” He sounded viciously excited about it. Aurin offered the canteen wordlessly towards the archer, who took it. The Templar’s eyes never left what was happening on the field even as he started to chuckle. The archer took the canteen and started to chuckle as well. Aurin looped one hand around the archer’s shoulder, laughing harder now and seeming to use the man to prop himself up.
“You know what my friend?”, Aurin asked easily of the man between his laughter.
“What?”, the archer replied with a grin that stretched across his face.
“I have no idea who Tarvak is. But I’m going to break your nose and punch you in the throat now!”, Aurin smirked towards him. His free arm moved with unexpected speed, the gauntlet smashing into the archer’s nose with enough force to flatten it across his face. His arm around his shoulders, tightened around the archer’s neck as the Templar drew back his fist again. The second strike took the man in the throat and Aurin dropped the staggering bandit as he begin to dash towards the combat.
The bear-like man behind Seda chuckled evilly as the rogue backed up into him. He brought his hands up suddenly, fisting them above his head. He intended to deliver a blow that might drive the woman to her knees. However he never got that chance. Before he could bring the blow down, his face was suddenly contorted in pain as he let out a roar. His leg collapsed under him and the huge man collapsed like a felled tree, a throwing axe buried in the back of his knee the obvious cause.
A second axe whistled though the air past the woman’s head. This one impacted into the one of the men facing the rogue with a wet and meaty sound. The man tumbled over backwards into the muck as Aurin drew back from his second throw. He was out of axes, but that should have evened up the odds for the woman, especially when giving the four remaining a new target.
“Six on one. Oh yes a brave lot you are!”, he taunted as he approached…and he hoped that would be enough to distract them. His blade hissed out of the scabbard on his back as he strode towards the battlefield.
