He smothered a smile at her clarification, the flush spreading across her chest not escaping his notice. She had agreed too quickly, too smoothly, to his interest in leaving at first light. Pavak knew that if she had been in Dairsmuid long enough for Lav to have heard of her and her destination they were probably on the tail-end of their shore leave, and they had probably intended to set sail in the morning anyways. And yet, he couldn't muster any ill-will towards the captain for thinking she had pulled a fast one. He was the one who had offered such a ridiculous sum in the first place, and if it ensured that tomorrow morning he watched Rivain grow smaller in the distance he was absolutely fine with the extra expense.
Besides...worst case scenario, he could always steal it back from her before they parted ways in Denerim. Although if the captain stood by her end of the bargain so would he - he prided himself on his integrity.
"Of course. For the coin alone." Pavak reached between them and clasped her thin fingers in his own, bringing it up and pressing his lips to the back of her hand, letting them linger just a moment longer than was proper before releasing his hold. "I thank you, dear lady. My life may very well be indebted to you." The gratitude in his voice was not forced.
The crowd around them burst into a particularly bawdy song about pearls, oysters, and salty clams, and Pavak was forced to edge closer to the table to continue the conversation. Her question was nearly lost in the din.
"I have not, surprisingly enough." He laughed with a small sly smile. "Although, I think it is safe to assume that I will not be getting sick. I am...used to disorienting experiences, shall we say?" Recollections of a hundred jobs in which he twisted his body to suit his need, of creeping up stone walls and seeing through eight eyes washed over him. No, he couldn't imagine that the rocking waves of the ocean could be any worse than dangling off a tower from a spider-thread in the buffeting wind, or fragmenting ones self into a swarm of wasps.
With a small frown he looked around the table again. "Are these all your crew as well?" Without waiting for an answer he nodded to them all, a broad grin on his face as he noticed the brunette hiding behind her cards. "I am Pavak Sethi. May I have the pleasure of knowing who I am to travel with?" He turned to the Captain. "And you, Captain? Your name as well?"
