He knew there would be more rooftop running. He just knew it. The wide eyes were from the pain and the darkness more than anything like a concussion. He would be good enough to run, more than good enough in fact. He had no choice did he? He nodded once towards her as a snap of a smirk came to his lips. “I’ll lead where you follow, lady.”, he tossed towards her.
It was not the usual mode of travel in the city to be sure. He leapt after the woman, following his directions. His movements were swift and strong, but not as graceful as the woman. His was all brute force as he moved down the roofs. His tread was not quiet, but it was swift at least. He had no finesse in his movements, but what more could you expect from one who preferred a six foot long piece of steel as a weapon.
