Viara felt her lips twitching more, and laughter bubbling its way up her throat, even as Thren pulled hay from her hair. It was unavoidable, and she quickly checked back over her shoulder to make sure the distance was safe before she let the giggles out. Her laugh was bubbly and airy, and she locked eyes with Thren, playfully smacking him on the side before his armor made doing so purposeless. "Are you accusing me of infidelity?" Her eyes flew open, sparkling and teasing. "I think you just want to feel better about your lascivious thoughts for my aunt. I won't give you the pleasure! It is certainly your child, you made it!" She crosses her arms underneath her chest, watching him armor up before they continue.
"I made it? Sure, put the blame on me." He shouldered the pack again and continued down the path. "If it comes out with blonde hair... just know I'll be looking for it." Thren smiled brightly, amazed that she had continued the pretense at all. Her joking kept the potentially dangerous situation light, and he was grateful. She was good company, and when she laughed, he wanted to join her. Her smile was infectious.
He looked around, regaining his bearings as the delved deeper in the forest. "Are you headed for West Hill or just the coast?" He looked back at Vi. "I know we had to get up quickly, do you need a stretch or rest before we continue?"
Vi let her grin grow slightly crooked and wicked, "Ah, don't pretend you didn't enjoy the attempts at making it." She winked conspiratorially, before she shook her head with a final chuckle. "I was angry with you, but...it was actually a good idea. Better than what I was coming up with. I'm flattered you even thought to wife me, even for a few minutes. Just... so you know." She kept her tone easy and light; it could have been awkward, or tense, but she didn't want it to come out like that. It was enough to celebrate a sound victory.
As Thren changed the subject, Viara tilted her head, glancing Northward and letting out a long breath. "The coast. We're anchored as close we can be - it's never a good idea to stay off of West Hill." He asked after her health and she quirked a smile, rolling her shoulders in an unknowing, lazy shrug. "I... don't know. My back is stiff, but I don't know if stopping will fix that. I can't even see how badly bruised it is."
