Oh it’ll bruise tomorrow, it’ll leave a hell of a mark. However had faced blood mages and demons. A drunken punch to the jaw wasn’t worthy of a complaint in the scheme of things. Aurin’s eyes scanned the bar for any other trouble before returning to the door as he felt the comforting weight of the blade rest in his hand. Fingers curled around the cold leather as he chuckled quietly towards Imenry.
“After you then,” He gestured towards the door, his words aimed towards the swordswoman. Ducking one shoulder he looped the weapon over his back as he began to turn towards the door. Following the woman out he paused a moment to place an armored boot against the backside of a patron that thought to get in his way.
“Thank ye kindly lass.”, Kroth replied as he nodded towards the woman, keeping both eyes on the growing chaos. As Imenry stalked away from the bar the barman himself pulled a massive cudgel away from where it hung above the bar. “Now ye and Aurin get yer arses out the door. While I clean this up.”, he added with a growl as he began to advance on the biggest knot of fighting with a stomp that seems as unstoppable as an avalanche.
That scene vanished behind him as he exited the taproom. The noise quieted as the door shut behind him and he scanned the mud-filled track that passed for a street. “Oh Terric? He’s around here somewhere….ah there!”, his words were accomplice by a nod towards a figure of a tall man in full massive Templar armor. The cant of the full helm that was angled towards the pair of swordswoman and casual Templar seems to radiate disapproval. He stood with his back to the tavern, the rain splattering down with soft ringing tones the metal skin he wore.
“You are late, Aurin.”, the Templar rumbled as he began to step towards the pair. “What took so long?”
“Well…”, Aurin began to explain when a body crashed through the front window of the taproom, clipping Terric in the shoulder and nearly knocking the man over before the more pious brother recovered. The smile on Aurin’s face grew by degrees. “…you know how these things are.”
The glare from the Holy Warrior was almost a palpable thing.
“Oh I plan to hunt them rain or shine, its what I do best. Thankfully there won’t be much hunting involved. I’ve tracked our prey to a small farmhouse a mile or two from here. A bit of a walk in the rain, but manageable.”, Aurin’s attention turned towards Imenry’s question and away from his disapproving brother. “We have a pack mule to take, but we can be there in a few hours. If you are ready…”
