Imenry watched Elsa's motions, reaching out to reposition her arm slightly, then guide her through the next strike. "Drop your shoulder a little, yes, like that." She nodded. "Sometimes skilled knife fighters will use their dagger as a projectile. You don't want to do that unless you are certain you will make a killing blow, because otherwise you won't get your weapon back."
She demonstrated a few simple moves, then had Elsa practice them, falling still so she could watch and correct her if necessary. She nodded. "You're holding it properly. Just make sure to keep your shoulder down so you don't twist your arm when you draw back."
Moving across from Elsa she stilled the other woman's arm. "The first thing you should try and learn is how to disarm your opponent. Now because you use a dagger, it will be harder against someone with a large weapon like I usually use, but you can do it against others who carry daggers or short swords, other one-handed weapons."
Holding her own hand and weapon outwards in the mimic of an attack, Imenry used her free hand to guide Elsa's attack. "Aim the tip of your blade sideways, as far to the front of my blade as you can, with force. If you hit it hard enough, it should break the other's grip and send the weapon flying. This will result in an opening in which to strike, quickly." She indicated, her own arm moving wide as if to mimic losing her weapon. "Under the arm here, between the ribs. A wound to the side will be debilitating, in most cases, or at least weaken your opponent."
