Elsa was able to use her magic in some way to boost her fighting style, which would serve her better on the field, but to be frank, she should really only use a blade if necessary. Her magic would be her best weapon, and her best protection, if she could learn how to cast it on purpose, that was. Imenry watched her carefully. She knew enough to see that Elsa was no warrior. She was a mage, but she couldn't remember. At least she had determination. Not many would have put up with Imenry's purposeful unfriendliness to learn a style of fighting which would not help them much in the end.
Her attack this time was definitely stronger, and the tang of magic was in the air. Imenry was surprised for a moment, then had to move faster to block the first attack. The force of the blade connecting with the claymore rang through her ears, though she was able to deflect the blow. Imenry had trained with a sword all her life, and while another warrior so trained could challenge her, fighting a mage with a small dagger was hardly difficult.
She blocked the second attack with a twist of the claymore and gently pushed Elsa and the dagger away. "That was better, a stronger blow." She was silent a moment. "If you are going to use a weapon," she finally spoke. "Keep using magic alongside it. Not just casting a spell on the blade itself, but if you have any short range spells with an area of effect, or some protective abilities to keep yourself safer." She smiled, slightly. "Obviously don't use those on me now, but if you have time to practice them, it will serve you well in battle."
