She shifted slightly, feeling strange just hugging onto him like this. It had been years since she had seen him, years since she'd ever just.. held onto someone like this. She still wasn't sure what to do these kinds of situations. She sighed at his words and drew back, lying on the bed to rub a hand over her eyes. She was tired and probably needed the sleep, but she didn't want to sleep just yet.
"I wish I'd known you'd left... I wish... that I'd found you sooner. I could have helped you." She wished she'd been able to keep him safe. It was easier for her, living as a warrior, not having to hide magic. She knew she didn't have to protect him, but that didn't change the fact that she wanted to. He was her friend, and it was that simple.
"How did you anger the lady?" she asked, smirking at him. She didn't want to focus on the tales of his run-ins with Templars, or the thought of men trying to pick him up. That gave her some disturbing imagery. Imenry was relieved that no woman had ever tried to proposition her, at least not to her knowledge. She wasn't planning on telling him about the lovers she'd had over the years, the men whose names she did not always know. Brennan might disapprove, maybe he would not care, but it bothered her to think about it right now.
