The comfortable bubble of private conversation almost made Jill wish that it would take longer to get back to the rest of the group. Of course, she could speak as freely among people, but something about riding like this with Lillie and Salma, made the situation feel extra intimate. Tugging slightly on the reins, Jill made the horse slow down even more. If anyone had told her this conversation was deemed to be categorized as 'girl talk' she would have laughed and shook her head. Nonetheless, it was nice to talk to Lillie in private.
Biting her lips thoughtfully, Jill pondered the answer she had gotten. "But you're not vulnerable because you're a woman," she said at last, trying to put to words a very vague thought that had flitted by. "I would have thought that elf grey warden...Faer? was vulnerable, but that was before I saw him do magic." A little amazement trickled into her voice at the thought of magic, and for a moment she sat silently thinking about the many weird and wonderful things she had seen, since joining the wardens. "I have trained with soldiers for seven years, but somehow I always get questions about my safety." Smirking to herself when she remembered, she added "Cormac even made me show him that I could defend myself once, to prove it."
Thinking hard, she tried to think of a woman, recall anyone she had met, that wouldn't get this sort of reactions from men, but she came up blank. Glancing over her shoulder, even though she couldn't see Lillie, she asked again, just to see if the other woman know of anyone. "What kind of woman would that be, do you think?"
