Lillie laughed at the horse, wondering at it's searching nose as she stroked a hand up over her muzzle lightly. It didn't feel like she expected, the fur coarser if she drew her hand back the other way, but smooth going back. If Salma was to do any searching it would be rather silly to check the pockets that Lillie lacked. Sadly she had nothing fresh on her either, all her fruit was dried and boxed in a tin in her pack.
Clearly Jill didn't think as much of Knights in shining armor as other ladies did, judging by her frown. Lillie smothered a smile and looked away. "I never met the horse, I'm afraid. But... his owner was a kind man so I imagine he was well treated." She didn't know if that was common or uncommon, but she liked to think that it was more often then not that animals were treated well by their owners. Of those traveling with them who had beasts though, it did seem that this was the case.
Blinking again, Lillie looked towards Jill, her own face blank for lack of reply. It took a moment to register what the other woman was suggesting and then she glanced at the horse, which suddenly seemed immense, nervously. "I... you mean try to ride Salma? I don't know... I mean, I might fall off. I don't have any idea how to go about it..."
Of course, on the other side of her apprehension, her mind was urging her to at least try. If she could learn how to sit on the horse without too much trouble then she wouldn't have to walk. Or maybe Jill would be kind enough to let her have little breaks from walking and ride on Salma? She bit down on her lower lip and glanced towards Jill again. "You... really think I could?"
