Jill shook her head at Salma, but the horse only pranced happily when Lillie reached out her hand and then sniffed it daintily. In a second she would be butting her head at the other woman instead, trying to find snacks in her pockets. "She loves to run," she explained, a smile stealing onto her face however hard she tried to look stern. "And she is used to it too, she has been with me through my years as a messenger." Glancing at Salma over her shoulder Jill finally smiled at the horse, not able to stay annoyed for long. "Well, I guess I could, I just..." shrugging she gave up trying to explain her burst of team spirit. "It just doesn't seem fair."
Jill frowned a little at the mental images of dashing knights and stallions. In her opinion, it was a waste of space making a horse carry all that armour around, stupidly heavy and difficult to move too. Horses were built for speed, the very lines of their bodies prepared for the wind streaming by quickly. Going at a sedate pace, riding a horse as if it was a cart, just seemed like such a waste. Training war horses was fun though, but then, at least those horses had to stand being in a battle. "Hrm, well," she said, trying to be diplomatic. "I don't know about a Lugus, but I've trained a lot of war horses. It's a lot of work, but it's fun!"
Fidgeting a little, the thoughts about wind and speed making her itch for riding instead of walking, Jill glanced at Lillie under her eyelashes. "Would you want to try?"
