The knight was nice enough, although clearly didn't seem that impressed by his scant message. In retrospect, it really.. wasn't much of anything to be impressed by, and he found himself trying to remember the conversation the two women had had that he hadn't really been paying attention to.
All in all, he'd have much rather been returning the mabari's curiosity and introducing himself with a game of fetch.
'Johann said she was in need of militia for a village on the northern part of the lake.' Sadly by this point the mabari was sitting dutifully back and looking impressively recalcitrant. Both squires had also been given orders at this point as well, and he was glad that it wasn't he who had been asked to retrieve people and things. Hopefully the dwarves and Lee would arrive up here shortly. 'Said she needed them yesterday, so the darkspawn must be close by now.' Hopefully the town would have some people they could mobilize quickly - surely they had some kind of force, since leaving people to the darkspawn was unconscionable, and from a more pragmatic viewpoint, if the darkspawn were only on the other side of the lake, it wouldn't take long for them to arrive here anyway. Kind of a.. more grim thought, but there you were. Loïc spared a glance over his shoulder, back the way he had come, and then looked back over at the knight. He didn't really have anything else to say - he couldn't remember any more of the conversation, and it hadn't been that long to begin with. Any time now, they were going to show up and have more to say.
