There really didn’t seem to be a whole lot of things that merited actually being said aloud right now, which was honestly quite all-right with him. He wasn’t in the mood much for talking, despite how uncomfortable it might have been making what would have normally most likely been an easy morning of.. sitting and chatting easily. Loïc was well aware that it probably would have been better to talk to her, and that she probably wanted to talk, but it was more self-satisfying to just sit quietly for now. He knew there was going to be a chat later, but for now it was morning and.. this circle of thoughts was getting really annoying. Also it wasn’t helpful. But mostly it was just really, really annoying. He shifted his position slightly, changing weight distribution on his legs – he’d locked his knees when he wasn’t paying attention, apparently, and that was never fun after a few minutes – and adjusted some of the armor around as quietly as possible. He wasn’t particularly happy about wearing it all, but at least he didn’t have the helm with him, and the previous battles had left everyone feeling.. different shades of ‘antsy’.
Right now he was mostly just watching that one boat come in closer to the dock though. He couldn’t really be sure who was in it – if anyone had told him this morning that they were expecting someone to arrive, he had clearly not been paying that much attention – but whoever it happened to be was getting nearer. As.. someone rowing a boat would tend to do.. Maybe there’s a little auto-pilot going on in the kid’s head.
It didn’t take a whole lot of time – respectively speaking. It probably felt like much longer for the rower – for the boat to pull up alongside the dock, and the dwarven woman’s gruff-ish voice rang out fairly solidly against the backdrop of what had been almost penetrating silence. (Also probably subjective. Relative. Respectively speaking.) She’d tossed the rope for the boat towards the enchanter, and had then turned her attention to Loïc for assistance in.. escaping the rowboat. Her tone was quite.. commanding, and after a brief moment of indeed gawking probably rather blankly at her, he moved to give her a hand out of the boat as Lee had said, leaning over to both hold the thing steady and give her some physical support in clambering out of the thing.
