She was quite pretty when she smiled. It made him feel better about the whole situation when she smiled. Perhaps it was naive of him, but he figured that someone who can smile like that cannot be a bad person. That did not mean he was any closer to understanding her, and her assertions that they knew each other...intimately...were outright bizarre, but at least he liked her smile. That was often all he needed to make a friend of someone.
He eagerly latched on to her comment to find out more information about her. "Is that so?" Rapping his fingers against the dragon bone shaft of his staff, he asked, "Where are you headed to?" Not knowing terribly much about Fereldan, beside the fact that there was a tower of mages in the lake somehow, and that the capitol was way on the other side of the country, he probably would not know where she was going if she named a town.
That would not stop him from going in the same direction though, if it seemed safe enough.
It was sometimes difficult to think in terms of safe and not-safe, unless it was recently after a scare. But as the danger faded from his mind, than so did the need for safety. Given the fact Redcliffe was feeling decidedly unsafe he was planning on leaving in the morning, if not sooner.
