Perching carefully on the edge of the table she leaned in close again, her voice the same conspiratorial whisper as before, her eyes bright and shining with the excitement of having juicy gossip.
"No, it's what's in the Fog has them worried... heard some crazy stories flying about." Her conversation with Eli was still fresh in her mind. "Heard someone mention vampires were behind the killings, can you believe it? Not that I'm paying them any mind - vampires, honestly, s'like something out of a Penny Dreadful - but still. Makes you think."
