I don’t know if this realm is guarded by magic, but it’s definitely hindering the use of mystic objects and their capabilities. It should probably be important to know how far or much it handicaps abilities. Is anyone else experiencing this? And to what extent.

Private to Hook and Swan:

I’ve fixed the hat. It will make portals but none out of this realm. And it’s never consistent. Any contingency plans?

I'd say it's a good thing it at least brings you around this realm, but the lack of consistency is a shame. Those green pipes are also convenient but confusing.

Perhaps we ought to talk to some more of the locals, maybe pick up additional hints.

Better than nothing.

There’s talk of magical dragons within the mountains. I haven’t had the best experience with dragons so I vote asking an idiot to investigate. Or Regina.

Intriguing. I'm not a fan of dragons myself, but that would indeed be good to investigate. As long as we make plans and distinctly do not tell her about them, since I enjoy seeing smoke billow from her ears when she's not treated like the queen she thinks she is.

Apparently Swan has fought a dragon. But as I said, I think we should find someone we don't need to investigate. There are more than one.

Oh, she can crawl into the deepest pipe and stay there. It's just our luck that she's here too. Waxing poetic about bitching about things being her fault only to turn a stranger into a rabbit for her own ego.

If it's Maleficent up there, I'm not going. She's probably still pissed at me.

I will point out that when we need magic, she is better trained than me and knows what she's doing. As frustrating and headache inducing as she is.

We'll find someone, not to worry. I'll ask around - and if you happen to find someone on your end, let us know.

Bollocks. We don't need magic all the time. Though speaking of those pipes, now that the hat is fixed perhaps we could see about mapping that system? If we end up someplace unsavory, we'll just hat ourselves away. Traveling here on foot is tiring and I haven't seen many other reliable transportation methods.

We don't need Regina, Emma. I've worked with her longer than you've been alive. Any deal, any sort of business, be it seemingly even on the playing field--never works out for any other party other than herself.

Oh sure. I'm just used to jumping into holes, I'll get right on it. I was mapping Storybrooke anyways. What's another mapping project of this world?

Used to jumping into holes, are you?

It'll be a delightful mapping project. We can do it together. Granted, I think this place is a wee bit bigger than shoebox-sized Storybrooke.

Are we intending on just letting her run around turning people into animals then?

Mapping sounds like a good idea, at the very least it'll make exploring easier, and potentially travelling if these places get their own doors that'd be really handy. Not that I have any clue how that hat actually works.

Telekinetic and telepathic in nature, but my manipulation powers are diminished, I cannot access fears.

Perhaps. But it weakens my abilities, means I am less strong, which means I cannot protect the same.

I am happier not knowing peoples fears, manipulating them, but I worry if something happens. Not really. I have Natasha. But we... had odds.

Probably best you don't go around manipulating other's fears. Especially with the little divide/unease with the magic users around here.

So not many from your realm. Not enough to feel comfortable.

One one hand, its probably best not to randomly test ones abilities on others. Seems to have caused a commotion when that happened. On the other hand, knowing limits before hand is a good idea. My own biotics don't appear to be as strong as they should be.

I wouldn't suggest testing it on others. Even if I had a person in mind. We absolutely should all know our limitations here.

Agreed on both points, especially the last. Not knowing them could cause worse issues that what has apparent'y already happened.

A refreshing change of pace, some reason. Though I suppose everyone deals with experiences differently.

At least we know any abilities anyone may have had, the same goes of any items.

That is true. I've always found assessing the situation preferable to shoot first, ask later.

Most likely. I haven't seen anything resembling technology from my world, which leaves me with a very limited supply of ammo for my weapons, unless something can be done to modify them.

One of few.

There's a blacksmith in the town of Yarnham. But I'm not sure it is anything 'technological'.

Blacksmith? I'm... Not aware those existed still quite certain wouldn't be what I need.

It's not that far back. There was also a mystic, magic exists here. They did have guns. But again--nothing I would say particularly advanced.
