Like most things that happened with Peter, they just so happened to...happen. He was surveying the Aboda village, doing a few small favors here and there for a villagers. Laying low in the village was nice but he was starting to get a little antsy. But the rest was well deserved after all they'd been through. If Gamora wanted a simple life, Peter would take it. He did come from nothing in a small town from Missouri after all. He was still missing space, his ship, and their friends.

And yet, mid-walk back 'home' he was encompassed into a large digital orb with a loud speaker man exclamating that he, Star-Lord, and Wanda Maximoff were to "versus" a Kirby and a Yoshi. He was no longer in Aboda village but...a platform surrounding by a jungle, swaying barrels that said 'DK' and platforms that appeared to drop the competitors.

"What..the hell.." Did...Did the DK's mean Donkey Kong? Like the dude who threw the barrels at the fake Mario? He didn't have enough time to think, because a giant pink blob and a green dinosaur were charging strait for him and the woman he assumed to be Wanda. "Hey! Watch out!" He pulled out his quad blasters, hitting the device behind his ear to pull forth his HUD to scan.

The dome she'd found herself in was disconcerting; Wanda had only ventured out to go for some groceries, since the castle didn't exactly come with a well stocked kitchen by any stretch of the imagination. It was to be a quick trip, and if she happened across something, only slightly longer.

It wasn't supposed to involve large pink blobs and dinosaurs.

The dinosaur seemed to run at her, as the announcement echoed around the area that had suddenly developed levels and rolling barrels. Jerking her right arm up, hand closed into a fist to bring a red barrier up between her and the charging dinosaur, Wanda lowered her other hand behind her to send a bolt through a barrel that seemed to bounce on a ledge towards them.

"Are these creatures your friends?" Her attention was so split that she wasn't even sure where 'Star-Lord' was, let alone what he could do.

Using his rocket boots, Peter pushed off to leap over a moving barrel, his HUD picking up Wanda and turning off his helmet so she could see that he had a friendly face. Well. He hoped his face was friendly enough, he definitely didn't look human with his HUD on. "No! Totally not my friends, the dinosaur is supposed to be friendly and I don't know what the pink thing is."

Yoshi had begun to throw eggs--where was he pulling those?-- at Wanda's barrier was the pink blob known as Kirby puffed larger and larger until it was flying above them. "And I don't know why we're fighting them either I think we entered..the wrong side of the map." And this most certainly was not Street Fighter II, but from the countdown and the announcing of 'players', Peter could only recall the arcade games of his childhood. Too similar. Peter fired his guns one by one at Kirby as it tried to descent upon them. It seemed to do a lot of damage--until Kirby turned into a rock and slammed into the ground, knocking Peter back and tumbling towards the edge.

He pushed off with his rocket's again to avoid falling, clicking his HUD back on so he could get a better scan and analysis of the area. "We're gonna have to fight them! Just don't hit those barrels! They never meant anything good when I saw them." Ouch, that rock pink thing was going to kill his back later.

Don't hit the barrels? Oh, boy. Wanda had to quickly alter the course, knocking the barrel up and away, pushing a telekinetic burst behind it to throw it off the edge of the world rather than hitting it into the green dinosaur. "Warning!"

It wasn't like this was normal though, so she sort of could understand delayed warning. She'd manage it, somehow, she'd make things work. Rather than use another telekinetic throw, Wanda pushed herself into the air, over one of the barrels, and let it hit Yoshi while she shielded herself, pulling a bubble around herself to stop any debris hitting her.

Yoshi flashed numerous times as the barrel hit him, Wanda knocking the last debris away with a wave of her hand before she launched some bolts at it to enhance the damage. "How do you know when we have won?" Apparently that one turned into a rock, would this one? Was the rock a power it had? Did it mean it was dead?

Oh no, the rock was not dead, it quickly regained it's form as Kirby, launching it's mouth into a huge vacuum to try and suck anyone in. "Oh, fuck, no no!" Peter scrambled to try and grab onto something but there was nothing, so he pushed the rockets as hard as they would go, taking the opportunity to shoot right into Kirby's mouth.

With a moment to quickly breathe, he managed to try and scramble to where Wanda was--because hey, she had sweet shield making abilities and could totally share right?

"Look, down there. It's got our names and...damage count?" Peter scanned it with the HUD on his helmet. "Four lives, we've got four lives. Like in a fighting game. We've got to kick their ass until they die or maybe...get them in a barrel and shoot them over the edge?" He wanted to test his barrel theory, and since poor Yoshi was still seeing stars he used his quad blasters to move past Wanda's barrier to punch, punch, fwap the dinosaur of his childhood right up into the barrel, which shook until it shot him out of the sky and literally into oblivion. One of his lives disappearing from the bottom of the screen. "Ok cool. We just have to kill them four times."
