Ever since arriving, Elissa had kept mostly to herself. It had been nice to see Alistair and Morrigan, not to mention meeting her 'nephew', but despite the familiarity, they weren't the same ones that she knew. That was something that she left to Morrigan's expertise, having little understanding of magic and arcane ways.
Bastien was sleeping nearby as she poured over the various tomes spread before her. Hoping to find something that she could use, she'd been disappointed to find that most were stories of some plumber that was a friend to the Princess, of whom no one had seen or heard anything yet. Lifting his head, Bastien glanced at the door before Alistair knocked, giving a bark.
Rising, Elissa walked to the door, opening it. "That's funny, because I remember a time when I was asked for my ideas on how we should deal with the blight," she retorted with a smile. Which of course was also why she had married him... another him... because despite being the legitimate heir to the throne, he had no sense of how nobility worked, and tended to be a follower, not a leader. This version, however, despite having that similarity, also seemed to have matured, being able to lead, at least slightly. Maybe not Ferelden as it's King, but he was a more than descent Warden Commander.
"Come inside, tell me what's troubling you." Elissa could still tell the 'troubled' look from the 'I'm only being sarcastic and witty because the answer is boring' look. This was definitely a troubled. look.
