Fred looked up at the word family, eyes red-rimmed and swollen. He smiled at Gabrielle, a pained smile.
"We'll expect you at the Burrow then, once Bill gets here," Molly said softly. "I'd like to talk to Kingsley again before we go. We should find out when Ron can," her voice broke, "come home." Arthur took her hand and squeezed, hard.
Fred and George stood as one and fell into step behind their parents as they turned to leave the shop. Arthur moved out ahead of his wife, murmuring apologies and ensuring a clear path as they walked back out into the morning sun.
