Quibbler article
Dear readers, Bellatrix Lestrange is free.
Yes, you read correctly. Bellatrix Lestrange is free.
A week ago we were able to tell you that Lestrange was in Azkaban, safe behind locked doors. We were able to tell you that she had been aprehended, and despite the Ministry doing nothing to prosecute her, you at least had nothing to fear from her.
Today we cannot tell you that. Today, instead, we tell you that Bellatrix roams free, having escaped from her prison in Azkaban. Today we must ask, again, if you hear or see anything that you believe would lead to the capture of Bellatrix Lestrange, send word to us at the Quibbler. You, dear readers, were instrumental in her capture last fall, and now we call upon you again for help.
At the same time, ask questions of your Ministry. Why have they waited to inform you? What investigation will they do into her escape? Or will that, too, remain something unseen by the public, allowing Bellatrix Lestrange to do as she will. As she has always done, and as our Ministry has continued to allow her to do. By keeping her secreted away, they denied her power over the public but at the same time, they made certain she was forgotten, giving her the invisibility she needed to slip away. How much help might Azkaban have had if the wizarding world were allowed to fear Lestrange?
Bellatrix Lestrange is a dangerous Dark Wizard, violent and terrifying. But if we pull together, dear readers, we can defeat her again. And so, be vigilant! The Quibbler waits to hear from you.
