For a moment an expression reminiscent of the pre-war Draco crossed the speaker's face; scornful, haughty, ready to reply with crushing condescension. But as suddenly as it appeared it vanished, to be replaced with a kindly smile.
"I assure Professor Weasley that my motives were solely those of scientific curiosity," purred Draco, "combined with a desire to encourage international cooperation between wizarding societies. I trust I am not mistaken in failing to assume that Professor Weasley is not uncomfortable with a lack of such cooperation?"
